2ND MATCH REPORT

The victory sound is clear and is a warning to the rest of the HPL teams that FC ORENJI is a no nonsence team after demolishing FEETWASHERS 5-1 yesterday. Their next semi final opponent could be last year finalist FC 2024 on the 30 aug at first toa payoh secondary.

'' I am over the moon after this victory " declares Desmond ( Orenji Goal-Kepper ) who is also the day penalty saver ! Asked if he knew the direction of the shot by the media, he said : ' Pure Luck " His peformance has improve gradually and now that he is comfortable with his goalkick, His only improvement point now is to focus on kicking even further.

The hero of the day got to be captain Zechary who scored 3 goals for Orenji ! veteran defender Hong Dao stated that : ' he is simply the best striker in HPL ! ' with him partnering Alex in attack, they are the most fearsome strikeforce in HPL , he added.

Chong Jyn the midfield general report for duty for the first time after recent world cup duties with Malaysia in the Asian qualifiers. He blended to the squad well and contribute much to the team 5-1 win over the opponents. He scored 1 goal as well, and he is extremely pleased with the result ! Added, " this is only the beginning, expect the best from me in our semi final date "

It is pretty much confirm that the semi final opponent be likely FC 2024 as Tag united with 2 victory win top Group A and FC 2024 will have to fight for 2nd place. Asked by the reporters, whether FC Orenji will be afraid to draw with last year HPL finalist. Player/Coach Lennon replied : ' the earlier we face them the better , and i think they should fear us more instead the other way round. ' Ex Fc 2024 player Matthew highlighted that he will do his very best to beat his former team and he wants the victory badly. Asked what tactics will be deployed on that day against the semi final opponent , they remain quiet over it ,but with speculation suggested that the team may well adopt the 4 -4 -2 formation.

Despite being an amateur league , you can expect top football match on 30 aug, be sure to be there to watch this semi final as it will be as explosive and entertaining.

FIRST MATCH REPORT

19 July 2009

FC Orenji did not disappoint their fans by beating Dreams United 2-0 in their opening match. It was a fantastic result as their captain Zechary secure both goals for them with exquisite touch and passes. Although missing several key players , they are still able to pull off a victory with hard work at the backline and seizing the opportunity well to score goals up front.

Key striker Alex commented that, although Dream united are made up of the older people from the family side , they give us real problem in our midfield section, we respect them as our opponents and i am glad that the match went well through out the 90 mins.

Coach Lennon was delighted with the win as well and want the lads to show more commitment in their next match against Feet Washers, he told ESPN reporters during the match conference. Asked by the reporters as well 'who he thinks deserves to be the man of the match,' he replied : Kehan deserves it , and burst into laughter after that comment, he started the match but pull off within 10 mins ! ' I am just Joking, ' he added. I seriously believe Benson is our key guy bursting through the defence and created numerous chance to score. Although Zec manage to score 2 goals , i felt he is my guy for that match !

FC ORENJI LOST 8-2 to SUPERIOR OPPONENTS ?

2 February 2009 1700hrs

FC Orenji suffered their first defeat as a team yesterday and with a scoreline of 8-2 , it may indicate that 'something' has been missing in the squad reported by the media. The team that played yesterday was a much better team as compared to the last friendly match but still couldn't get past their classy malay opponents. Lennon has defended the team despite the lost, saying, it is a good start for the lads as a team and i see potential for the future. We had numerous chances to score and let me count, probably 3 clear chances and 2 misjudgement from the offside trap by the refree. so in short we didn't seize our chance well enough. Lennon told Skysports.

Here's some question by ESPN for Team Orenji

ESPN : What are some improvement measure are you going to take after this defeat ?

Lennon : We seriously need some training to boost our playing style. No doubt we have the best players around but individual effort is not enough to win us the games. Chong Jyn ( Kaka ) added that the opponents played together since young as neighbours and they understand each other so much that even when errors occur, they are able to rectify the problems quick ! whats more today we are playing for the first time with some new players joining us. I wouldn't see that as the end but rather the beginning !

ESPN : Talking about new players, are there any players that impressed you ?

Lennon : I called on 5 new players yesterday, and all did well for us. but i certainly would like Alvin ( the central defender ) & Jerome ( the right winger ) & Kwa Lin ( the striker ) to join us permanently for the future. Alvin has composure at the back and he is quick on the feet as well. He certainly can be deploy on the right side for us if he decided to join us. Jerome is a tireless winger with a great body built that can threaten defenders all the time. Alex ( wayne rooney ) also single him as a courageous player fearing no one on pitch, which is what lacking in the squad currently. This is what we need ! we need players that fear no one on the pitch and he surely can improve as a player and as we grow together as a team ! Kwa Lin , a Burmese international is a long time friend of Lennon has not really shine yesterday on the pitch but Lennon believes he still got that sting that can make opponents pay , right now, he needs TRAINING ..thats all !

ESPN : Beside the new players , how about the current squad ?

Lennon : Here is the report !

Raymond ( Carlos Puyol ) has improved from last match ! i didnt want to change him yesterday ! and it pays off ! I seen the hardcore in him and the strong minded Raymond ! i think his physical limit has certainly improved and overall it was a good outing for him yesterday !
Desmond ( Buffon ), its sad to see him picking the ball 8 times from the net. but i can't blame him for the overall result, the team play a part as well ! he is still new and fresh after the long break, some training will do good and i have plans for him in the upcoming training ! and trust me.. a hard core training for him !
Hong Dao ( Zambrotta ) first match appearance for the squad and he proved to be a versatile player for the team. He will proved valuable in coming matches !
Benson ( Babel ) seems abit off form in the match, mis-time running and loses the ball easily.
John ( Dietmar Hamann ) , can be improved, and will be training him to be a hard tackler in the mid-field section ! way to go John !
Alex ( Wayne Ronney ) Scored a fantastic freekick ! seems to lose out to really bigger opponents this time ! but he prove to be the heart and soul for the team in attack !
Ah-huat ( John Terry ) he has been made average in this match, but he is the leader for the defence and even the real John Terry has time of disappointing form ! i believe he will bounce back in the coming match !
Mark ( Mancini ) exhausted and not being able to play his cool football yesterday ! But he will be still one man Lennon love to see dazzling with his skills on the pitch !
Lin ( Heinze ) , he has been quick to anticipate the ball and intercept at right time ! but due to a number of players around, we have to rotate him out to let the rest come in and play !
Chong Jyn ( kaka ) . vision and fighter on the pitch but loses out to the opponent team work ! he create chances and balls for striker in many occasion.

Conclusion : We will need to really work hard in the upcoming training on 22 Feb. and i urge the players to come and train and gel as one. SO ' Hopefully ' all will be able to turn up on that day !

FC ORENJI have finally sign veteran Hong Dao ( Roberto Carlos ) ! He is one player that has been the missing pieces in Lennon dream team ! Finally, we get the player we want ! He has shown his knowledge of the game very well and single him as the man to get at any price ! Its a pleasure to work with him again and surely Fc Orenji has a good chance to win the HPL.. Hong Dao receive a great reception with fans at the San Siro stadium with 10 000 fans chanting his name !

FC ORENJI WIN DEBUT DESPITE MISSING 8 KEY PLAYERS

Fc Orenji manage to secure their first win as a team in a friendly against fellow league side ' Pikas ' with a 5- 0 scoreline. Scorers Kehan 2 , Benson , Alex and Lennon all contributed to the victory !

( 1500 Hours ) It was a steamy and hot sunday afternoon and players of Orenji looks unfit and disorganize from the beginning. The tide soon change after the first goal of the game. They mange to play together well as a team and created several good 1-2 touch football till the end of the final whistle. Several Star players are missing from Fc Orenji includes Ah huat ( John Terry ) , Kenneth ( Martin Laursen ) , Alex ( Nani ) , Marc ( Tevez ) , Mark ( Mancini ) , Chong Jyn ( Kaka ) , Clarance ( John O'Shea ) & Desmond ( Buffon ).

When asked about the thoughts of the game , Team Captain Zechari replied : " We need to beef up our fitness level and train more on our tactical position. But nevertheless we played well as a team for this friendly game. "

MATCH REPORT ON PLAYERS :

Star Striker Alex ( Wayne Rooney ) played the whole 90 mins. He could have scored more goals if he had not miss his chances.
Speedy Winger Benson ( Ryan Babbel ) played well but due to ankle injury , it has been affecting him troughout the game.Overall he performs a high 8 pointers.
Team Captain Zechari ( Steven Gerald ) was pushed from striker position to Centre Midfielder by Coach Lennon. Lennon commented that it was a good experience for the lad to get familiar in centre position and he believes when Chong Jyn ( kaka ) returns, his potential will be unleash at the middle of the park !
Kehan ( Giggs ) has won the man-of the match with his 2 goal performance. This has certainly raise the scoring abilities from the mid-field department !
Matthew ( Patrice Evra ) is the key man in defense yesterday ! His ever presence on the pitch & strong-built has been a problem for opponents and he repay his team with a 101% attitude on the pitch !
Raymond ( Carlos Puyol ) played well for the whole match. Making sure strikers dont get past him easily !
Lin ( Heinze ) impress coach Lennon with his ability in tackling and speed. I know he is injured but he still gives his 100% in this game, Lennon said. Lennon also stated that Lin will definitely play a big part in Hope Premier League.
John ( Dietmar Hamann ) , play a cautious more defensive mindset throughout the game ! His tall presence certainly give him an edge over others in ariel position.
Donald ( Steve Finnan ) , although looks tired and rusty, he is picking up the game very well ! i believe he will be a strong right back towards the end of the season !
Match ( Denilson ) : Match came in the middle of game. Give the left hand side of the team a boost with his interception and clearance of ball !

Conclusion from Coach :

We are certainly missing the key players for the 1st game ! but i felt this shows the quality of our bench players doing brilliantly on the field. They have what it takes to win the game and took the chances well ! We need to improve in our 1 ) Passing 2 ) Tactical Position 3 ) Set Piece Play 4 ) Confidence. If we can get these 4 things well , we can move on with other areas of improvement. Our strongest department that i foresee will be our defense. Thus, i believe our attacking side need to improve on shooting abilities and telepathy with one another. Seizing opportunity whenever it comes to scoring is important ! if we are not able to do that, we will regret for sure when we face tougher opponents !

Please make yourself available on 1st February ! As I will coordinate with Zechari for a friendly and please guys ! I hope to see a full strenght side ! Do make an effort to come ! Thank you ! and wishing you a great day ahead and a Happy Chinese New Year ! Do save the ang Pow $$ for our Jersey !

1 ) Across-Field Warm-Up

This drill is mainly focused on technical skills during warm up.

TIPs : Guys, this training can help to improve technical skills from head to toe. The blue player and yellow player will swap after the following set of training below. Distance ( 1 metre to 1.5 metre )

1) Yellow person throw ball to head 5 times

2) Yellow person throw ball to left shoulder and control only 5 times( not to shoulder ball back to yellow player, for self control only )

3) Do the same for right shoulder 5 times ( from Point 2 )

4) Yellow player throw to chest area ( for self control only )

5 ) Yellow player to throw to left knee area ( for self control only )

6 ) Yellow player to throw to right knee area ( for self control only )

7 ) Yellow player to throw to left leg area and hit back to yellow player

8) Yellow Player to throw to right leg area and hit back to yellow player

ENJOY the training and be player like Zidane who play so elegantly on the pitch because of all this small technique skills. KUDOS !

2 )Accuracy Passing Under Pressure

This drill focuses on passing, agility and fitness.

TIPs :

Guys, the photo above show 4 - 1 chart, but u can improve to 4-2 as well. 4-2 will be more challenging as it will require communication and understanding as well. the key for this practise to go well is speed. it require the tempo of the game to be fast otherwise it will be meaningless. Kudos !

3 ) Improving Speed of Play - Passing Drill

This soccer drill is designed to improve the speed of play, decision making, and passing accuracy under pressure.

TIPs :
Ok guys, since we have limited balls as well so i am choosing training that suit us as well. we can confine the playing area and play intense in the passing probably 4vs2 and rotate ! For those who are not good in movement and passing, this will be good chance to learn and build up ! kudos !

4 ) Improving Combination Play

This soccer drill will help improve combination play as well as switching the point of attack. Use this drill when you are organizing a soccer practice around passing and moving.

TIPs :

The main objective for the game is for attackers ( blue ) to create beautiful passes and 1-2 passing in it. For the begining , the red players ( defenders ) will harass the blue players but not to tackle the ball and make sure you Man-Mark blue players. You will than freeze ( do not move ) , after hearing the word ' FREEZE ' from coach ! Than the blue players will take this time to do the passing and 1-2, making sure you pass by each and every defenders form left to right of the pitch or right to left ! After completing it, change over !

This will also help players to understand one another well and ready to create openings for opportunity !

* Take note , to increase the difficulty of the practise, the defenders need not need to freeze but just harass the ball will do ! KUDOS !

5 ) Soccer Tennis

Soccer Tennis is a great game to focus on volleys and balls in the air.

TIPs :

Guys , your can play 3 on 3 with ball not touching the ground at all and pass back the ball using leg or head ! Maximum touches should be 3 before it go over to the opponects ! And player should not touch the ball continously and need to realise to another player after 1 touch ! Your can play the game to 7-point !

This game will help ball control and agility and awarness !

6 ) Shooters Game

This drill, Shooters is a great game to help improve shooting on target and increase leg strength power !

TIPs :

This game can include Desmond in it ( Goalkeeper ). The blue players ( shooters )will start where the photo stated and shoot from that area than ran to the centre and shoot and than to the finish line. Balls will be placed at the 3 areas ! REMEMBER when shooting Do not just use POWER only ! but focus on PLACING as well ! The rest of the players should stand behind goal post to take balls and put the balls to the 3 areas for the next player !

* Take note : To increase the challenge, move the distance further from the goal post !

7 ) 1 v 1 to Goal

1 v 1 to Goal is a great soccer drill to improve goal scoring. This drill focuses on beating the last defender, staying in control of the ball and finishing with a good shot on goal.

TIPs :

Ok Guys ! this training will be a favourite among all as this is the shooting practise !

Set up for this shooting practise :

One line of blue players ( shooters ) to shoot and one line of red players ( defenders ) behind the goalpost to get the ball that is shot and run up to replace the red player that is defending. For the red player defender, he should move to join the blue players to shoot ! For the blue player , after shooting the ball go back to the goal post area to join the red players as defenders !

So this wil be the routine so as to save time and game play to flow smoothly !

* Take note for red players : You are not suppose to tackle the ball from blue player. You are just to make a physical barrier for them and harass them thats all ! blue player must not shoot too close to goal post. Goal keeper ( Desmond to take note of Angle Positioning and Awarness if the defender is beaten by the attacker )

1 ) Goalkeeper Warm-up Drill

This is a great soccer goalkeeper warm-up drill. This is a great warm-up to add to the pregame warm-up. Goalkeepers will love this warm-up.

TIPs :

One person will train the Goal-Keeper in this. He can move around from the initial postion on the photo from left to centre and right ! That person can use hand to throw in the arrows direction or kick in the arrow direction ! Goal - keeper should be aware to cover all areas indicated by the arrows sign ! Enjoy this training Desmond !

And also you can train your Goal kick ! which i notice your goal kick is not kicking far as well ! so you can kick at a certain distance from left to centre and right and after that increase the distance ! Make sure u DON'T Strain the muscles during the kick ! but observe the kick distance by yourself as you kick the balls ! :-) Enjoy

FC xxxx has sign winger Mark on a free transfer. It is reported they have edge over Pikachu United to sign the Winger. Lennon will look to Jingxi and Mark to strenghten the quality in the defence and midfielder department. Jingxi is touted to be the 'John Terry ' By Benson, excites Lennon in making quick bid for the $15 million defender. LATEST NEWS : Matthew has decided to hang up boots.

Coach Lennon lashed out at Matthew for his unprofessionalism behaviour in his latest decision. he felt this should'nt be the way for a player who has commit his desire to join Fcxxxx after the 1st season Hope Premier League ends, and he is furious that matthew has taken this issue lightly. Press reported that Lennon will not persuade Matthew to join back the team but if he decided to come back, the team will welcome back him. Lennon telling The Newpaper: 'Matthew has certainly make a wrong move, not wanting to dissapoint his Ex-FC2024 team-mates, he now has upset his new team-mates in this move.' Will the prodigy son returns ? or hang up his boots.. time will tell ..
